USDF Gold Medalist, Carlos Carneiro is a dedicated and talented classical dressage trainer from Portugal. He is head trainer at Sierra Nevada Lusitanos since 2011 where he trains and shows mostly iberian horses from Training level to Grand Prix.
He has had the amazing opportunity of studying with two of the world's greatest classical dressage masters, Luis Valenca and Joao Oliveira, the son of the revered Nuno Oliveira. Carlos is adept at progressing young horses through the training levels with classical exactitude. The ultimate goal, of course, is to have a happy, light in the hand, eager to please, healthy horse. Carlos achieves this multi-faceted goal by paying particular attention to every training detail from exercises promoting flexibility and strengthening to those oriented towards cadence and self-carriage.
Carlos teaches clinics in Portugal, Germany, Austria and the United States of America.
In Portugal, Carlos participated in numerous exhibitions showcasing classical dressage in the traditional Portuguese tack and attire. Here in the United Slates, he was one of the participants giving an exhibition at the World Cup for Grand Prix Jumping in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Christina Christensen has ridden, trained, and shown in the United States, Belgium, and England. She has competed at FEI levels in both Show Jumpers and Dressage and continues to welcome clients from both disciplines.
As an apprentice, she has worked for some of the top riders and trainers in the world, including David Pincus of the Spanish Riding School, and Ludo Phillippaerts of Belgium's Olympic show jumping team.
As a rider, she has given her horses the correct foundation needed to reach their peak potential, using both her riding and in-hand knowledge to help them excel. Her experience spans across all levels of a horses' development: either in their early stages of training, all the way up to seasoned Grand Prix competitors!
As a trainer, she has worked with countless clients to improve their riding and enhance communication with their horses, helping them develop at home, compete nationally, or obtain their USDF medals.
